At a news conference on epidemic prevention and control held by the Guangdong Provincial Information Office yesterday afternoon, Ma Hua, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, said that considering the current situation of the global epidemic development, especially the risk of importing epidemics overseas is relatively high. The 127th Spring Canton Fair has been determined and will not be held on April 15th as scheduled. The 127th Canton Fair was originally scheduled to be held from April 15th to April 19th, the second period from April 23rd to April 27th, and the third period from May 1st to May 5th 2020. The China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) was established in the spring of 1957 and is held in Guangzhou in the spring and autumn of each year. It is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and is hosted by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is the largest comprehensive international trade event with the largest variety of products, the largest number of buyers and the widest distribution in countries and regions. At the end of the 126th session, the Canton Fair continued to export about US $ 1412.6 billion, gradually reaching about 8.99 million overseas buyers. In general, the exhibition scale of each session of the Canton Fair reached 1.185 million square meters, and nearly 25,000 companies transformed internally and externally, and about 200,000 overseas buyers from 210 countries and regions attended the conference.
Previously, there were many rumors that the Canton Fair will be postponed to May.
